Afrikan Fashion Awards - Kampala

Organised by The Daud Group, Afrikan Fashion Awards is a Global-African annual event of celebrating African fashion creativity, innovation and excellence.

As a passion for fashion, Afrikan Fashion Awards was founded in 2009 by Ugandan Entrepreneur, Baraka A. Daud, and has risen from a simple event whose audience was merely high school and university students upon its launch in 2010; to become a leading African platform of achievement.

The Fashion Awards brand’s history stands as an example of the rise of African fashion, and is therefore committed to providing and being the thought exposure event to bring together African industry stake holders, shine the spotlight on, and help the industry network with clients and the general public, share ideas and experiences, collect feed backs and learn about Africa’s latest fashion trends.

Afrikan Fashion Awards’ main objective is to reward and award the pioneers and gurus; discover and encourage new entrants as a means of expanding and organising the fashion industry’s quality and standards on the continent.
As well, Afrikan Fashion Awards strives to dedicate its efforts to the growth of African fashion and the well-being of humanity through ensuring the financial growth of women leaders and entrepreneurs, as well as avail education to talented young students to pursue a successful career.

The organisation is dedicated to avail funding, skills, Networking, and business information to potential women leaders and entrepreneurs in Africa; as well as make it possible for deserving students; researchers and scholars to access research materials, scholarships and financial support to enable them reach their goals.
