The Makerere University Joint AIDS Program (MJAP) is a private not-for-profit organization that is limited by guarantee and is under the umbrella of the Makerere University College of Health Sciences (MakCHS). MJAP strives to consolidate a model for the delivery of the full continuum of HIV/AIDS and TB prevention, care, and treatment services, while also contributing to the fortification of national health systems in order to provide quality services. Furthermore, MJAP supports the comprehensive HIV/AIDS services in Mulago, Butabika National Teaching Referral Hospitals, and Makerere University Hospital.
