    Enabel ( Belgian Development Agency)
    National Field Coordinator
    • Worked as National Field Coordinator with Enabel in the implementation of the Beligian Development Agency in implementing the Supporting for Skilling Uganda Strategy under the Ministry of Education and Sports through The Skills Development Fund projects in Albertine and Rwenzori sub region and I was in charge of Kasese District.
    • I ensured timely project implementation for all Skills Development / Training programs were implemented by eight projects in Kasese District in five years amounting to worth Euro 5.7 million
    • In my capacity I played a leading role in roles in developing Public Private Partnerships in the Albertine and Rwenzori Cluster aimed increasing opportunities for youth employment and industrial training.
    • I also worked with other different private sector companies to set up the Kasese district Skills platform which was aimed at promoting advocacy for policy change to the National Skills Council and MoES.
    • I worked closely with the institutes’ Principals and Directors and staff to conduct a Skills Needs Assessments, drafting concept notes and proposals for submission to potential donors
    • I ensured quality implementation of ongoing projects to grantees through sound technical support and leadership for the vocational skills development programs, ensuring that key deliverables are met in a timely manner as per projects proposals, log frames, work plans, and budgets.
    • I also supported the fishing communities on Lake Edward and Kazinga Chanel to developing a proposal for funding and helping them to procure the right fishing bear and also obtain the best skills in sustainable fishing practices.

    Education Project Manager
    In my capacity as Education Project Manager, I was in charge of the overall leadership and general operations of the staff team in implementing education programmes for Primary, Secondary, Vocational and Tertiary on behalf of the UNHCR and Government of Uganda to the refugees in Adjumani refugee settlements. I was responsible for leading and overseeing the development and delivery of high quality, innovative, cost effective programmes in education both in emergency as well as long-term development, resulting in immediate and lasting change for children.
    Summary of Key Results:
    • Effectively ensured that Windle Trust Uganda efficiently utilised the financial resources given by the UNHCR to attain a wider “system level impact” in Refugee Education especially among the other education working group of the UNHCR, Office of the Prime Minister, Ministry of Education and Sports, Uganda National Examinations Board, the different offices of the District by contributing to wider policy discussions and reforms.
    • As Education Project Manager, I was responsible for leading the team to develop a comprehensive proposal to Beligian Technical Corporation to fund the Skills Development in Arua, Adjumani and Kiryandongo in partnership with Amelo Technical Institute in Adjumani and Kiryandongo Vocational institute respectively.
    • As the education Project Manager, I led the revitalisation of the Education Working Group in Adjumani which brought together all education implementing partners together with the office of the Prime Minister and the UNHCR.


  • 2013 - 2017
    Presidential Initiative on Banana Industrial Development
    Community Development and Cooperatives Manager
    • I led the production team to provide trainings to different banana farmers’ groups in the Greater Bushenyi districts to promote the formation of Banana Farmers’ Cooperatives for collective bulking and marketing.
    • Trained leaders of the newly formed cooperatives in aspects or organizational development, management and governance.
    • I led the establishment of Business Development linkages of these cooperatives with other service providers in the agro business value chain that enhanced membership in the cooperatives.
    • Worked closely with the district production offices within the greater Bushenyi and Ministry of Agriculture to collectively eradicate the Banana Bacterial Wilt in members’ plantations.
    • I supported the promotion and development of integrated farming practices which also encouraged banana farmers to also practice fish farming in man-made ponds.
    • I facilitated the trainings in conservation farming practices which included forking, mulching of banana plantations with papyrus and this promoted the promotion of conservation practices.
    • I also promoted the digitalization of member’s plantation with use of GPS and this helped in farm planning.
    • I also led a team of staff of the production team to Nakuru, Muranga and Zambezi for different training in animal feeding technology of Hydroponics.

    Heifer International ( East Africa Dairy Development Project)
    Investment Advisor / Cluster Leader for Mukono
    • In my capacity, I worked with donors to implement Direct Project Support program of working to end poverty, hunger and conducted environmental conservation programmed through the implementation of Dairy farming and other related value chain businesses.
    • As Cluster Leader and Investment Advisor for Mukono which comprised of 10 districts, managed cluster heading the financial, H R, Procurement, and Fleet in the Cluster to ensure that small holder dairy farmers improve on their household income through improved dairy farming, production and marketing of milk collectively through a cooperative chilling plant.
    • I worked with the Veterinary Doctors, breeders, and agronomists to design a training curriculum on modern dairy farming practices which was used to train different dairy farmer’s cooperatives.
    • I supported the communities to form dairy farmers’ cooperatives at a means of increasing milk bulking, obtaining sustainable markets, bypassing the milk middlemen and also created a credible number that attracted other business value chain Actors.
    • Led the staff team in project planning and development of the Annual Operational Plan and Budget Mobilized communities, local organizations and institutions to form Dairy Farmers Business Associations, facilitated capacity building of communities and local organizations, Led the team in monitoring and tracking progress of cluster programme implementation and documentation of planned activities.
    • In partnership with SNV, we implemented the Uganda Bio-gas Development program which promoted the use of cow dung as a source of renewable energy for lighting and cooking. The Bio salary led to the introduction of fish farming among those who had constructed bio gas digesters.
    • As a way of motivating Ugandan dairy Farmer cooperatives, I Led over 400 cattle farmers in teams of 70 people to Eldoret, Kitare, and Kabiet to learn from the farmers that side on modern dairy farmer management practices.
    • I also led some staff of Heifer International for a study trip to Arusha, Tanzania in a Capacity building of Africa Area Program staff in Enterprise Development.
  • 2008 - 2008
    OSIENALA ( Friends of Lake Victoria) Kisumu Kenya
    Work Study Programme in Kisumu
    • Went for a work study at OSIENALA (Friends of Lake Victoria) in Kisumu, Kenya and worked with the Lake Victoria Catchment area conservation department in the conservation of the breeding zones for fish especially along river Nzoya.
    • Conducted training to the fishing communities on modern conservation fishing practices in Bondo district.
    • I worked with the Beach Management Units to register fishermen and supported them to form VISLAs as a way of promoting the spirit of saving for the future.
    • I also worked with a team of experts from Masinde Moriro University of Science and Technology to train the fishing community in diversifying on their income by integrating fishing and vegetable farming.
    • Advocated for a policy change which completely reduced the use of kerosene lamps on Lake Victoria by introducing a solar lamps which fishermen could hire at a very small charge and used them for three days on the lake.
    • Worked with the Kenyan government authorities to improve on the supply chain of silver fish which included the construction of concrete /cemented drying grounds.
    • With a team of project managers from other parts of East Africa, we supported the fishing communities on Lake Victoria of preventing their vegetable gardens from being destroyed by Hippos around Kisumu and Bondo through barricading the gardens with wide trenches.
    • Worked with the communities of the lake Victoria catchment areas like communities around the Kakamega Forest to conserve the forest by introducing the growing of Tea in the forest peripherals and also supported community Tourism and allowed the people in this areas to getting firewood once a week from the forest.
    • While I worked with other experts, we advocated for the immediate burn of using mercury in the gold mines if Ingolomani and Mbale in Kenya who poured water in river Nzoya which fed into lake Victoria Breeding Zones.
    • As a lake Victoria Conservation programme, I worked with other experts to improve on the hygiene conditions on lake Victoria fishing villages and landing sites by promoting the use of eco sun toilets
    • I also worked to promote the planting of trees as a green cover to which prevented sand silt getting into the lake and at the same time, these green belt worked to prevent strong winds from the lake from causing destruction to the fishing communities.
  • 2006 - 2008
    Tigers Club Project
    National Operations Manager
    • As part of the Northern Uganda Reconstruction Program, I led a team of social workers to remove most of street children at that time from the streets of Kampala and resettled them back to their close relatives.
    • As Operations Manager, I was responsible for supporting big boys who could not go back to formal education, join skills development training at CORE VTC in Kireka, Kampala where they were provided with practical skills and we supported them with a start-up Kits.
    • I was also in charge of placing some of them to garages and workshops for entrepreneur development training where they learn on job how to physically produce marketable products, learn the value chain business language and aspects of costing, which made them get into the world of work as a way of improving on their lives.
    • I led the program staff team in programme planning and Development, assessments, evaluations and designs. I was also responsible for facilitating development and designing of the Project documented and Annual Operations Plan / Detailed Implementation Plan and gathered and analysed community perspectives, and prepare annual work plans and cash flows while incorporating the community engagements and contributions.

    SEROMA Christian High School - Mukono
    Deputy Head Teacher
    • Deputized the head mistress in all matters of school Administration and Management.
    • As head of academic programmes, I was responsible for appointing heads of department including the senior woman teacher who was entrusted with the responsibility of integrating Menstrual Health and Hygiene in the school administration programme.
    • Routinely administered and managed the school and ensured professional support supervision of all teachers in a timely manner.
    • I led in planning for the development of the School and Professional development of teaching personnel in collaboration with the Board of Governors of SEROMA Christian High School.
    • Consulted with the Board of Governors and head teacher and colleagues in developing a work programme for the school.
    • As Deputy Head teacher together with the head teacher and school bursar, I ensured proper planning, budgeting and accountability of the school activities and resources in consultation with the Board of Governors.
    • As Deputy Head Teacher, I served as Minute Secretary of the Board of Governors and I coordinated the functions of the Board of Governors and compiled accountability reports to them during the finance meetings of the BOG.

     Served as Warden of the Boys’ Hostel, class room teacher and Director of Studies, I Led the teaching staff in developing and implementation of an Annual Operational Plan of the school including the developing the Annual School Time Table for all the teachers in accordance to the school vision and Mission and in line with the provisions of the Secondary School Education Curriculum.
     I worked closely with the Matron of the girls’ hostel and senior woman teacher to promote Menstrual Health and hygiene in the school as a way of demystifying the harmful social norms associated with Menstrual period among teenage girls.
     I served as the scouts master and I led a team of Scouts to participate in the National Scouts Completion at Kazi and won the national Trophy in 1999.
