FH’s primary goal is to respond to human suffering and graduate communities from extreme poverty. In Uganda, FH is operational in the communities of Adjumani, Kitgum, Lamwo, Kole, Kween, Mbale, Namutumba and Amudat Districts implementing programs in four main sectors of Education; Food Security and Livelihoods; Health/Nutrition and Disaster Risk Reduction; with the Head office located in Kampala.

Job Title: Nutrition Nurse (04)
Location: Palabek, Lamwo
Reports To: Nutrition Officer
Contract Length: Two Years- with possibility of extension
Start Date: January 2020.

Job Summary:
To provide a comprehensive nursing package that include preventive, curative and health education to support and encourage a healthy living culture within the target population.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Provide continuous nursing services in both the IPD and OPD units.
• Ensure patients are comfortable, in a healthy and secure environment to enhance quick recovery.
• Manage and supervise performance of the direct reports
• Coach, capacity build and provide mentorship to the direct reports
• Carry out observations, diagnosis, and nursing procedures and give necessary treatment in consultation with the Clinical Officer.
• Participate in MCO/MO Ward rounds, receive, admit and discharge patients while maintain their proper historical records for reference.
• Participate in PHC activities that include health education, MCH activities and nutrition programmes.

Job Skills: Not Specified

Requirements
• A Diploma and/or Certificate in Nursing (2yrs)
• A certificate of enrolment from the national nursing body
• At least 2 years experience in similar or higher position

Job Experience Requirements: 2 years
