As part of the transformation journey the bank is re organising its process and wishes to recruit competent, professional and passionate resources, with a clean track record to fill the vacancies below. JOB TITLE: MANAGER RECOVERIES AND CREDIT ADMINISTRATION REPORTS TO: CHIEF CREDIT OFFICER .
ROLE PURPOSE To implement credit activities of the bank in line with the bank’s strategy of monitoring and controlling portfolio quality as well as ensuring recovery of amounts lost to bad loans.
KEY RESULT AREAS/ DELIVERABLES: • In liaison with the Chief Credit o¬cer, review and recommend improvements to the Bank’s credit manual and implement authorized changes. • Routinely review bank wide portfolio at risk / watch and devise measures of remedial. • Ensure recoveries targets are achieved • Provide support and guidance to the supervised teams towards achieving the bank’s strategy. • Design and development of measures of credit performance and credit measurement targets for monitoring and Recoveries teams and implement them 6. Ensure timely issuance of all notices for defaulting borrowers. • Monitors credit performance and draw attention to deviations from risk assets and acceptance criteria. • To review for compliance to the set covenants for all borrowers and notifying management about any breaches. • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • A minimum of 6 years’ experience in a Banking environment in the credit risk and recoveries functions. • Ability to handle a diverse loan portfolio and customer base. • The ability to communicate clearly both verbally • Ability to build professional working relationships across organizational, corporate, and cultural boundaries. • Takes clear accountability for delivery of corporate goals. • Strong skills in decision making • Ability to demonstrate positive image and role model PBU’s values and leadership behaviours. • Must be a person of impeccable integrity
EDUCATION AND TRAINING • A Business degree in Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics or any relevant field. • Possession of a Certified banking qualification or master's degree in a relevant field would be an added advantage. • Relevant Practical training in Credit in the financial services sector. • A broad practical knowledge of Credit Management and Risk Management in the financial services sector.
