Assistant Accountant
Salary Scale : U6
Reports to : Accountant

Qualifications:
Must have either a Diploma in Accounting, Business Studies or Administration with an accounting option obtained from a recognized awarding Institution

Experience:
Working experience as an Assistant Accountant from a reputable organization will be an added advantage.

Duties and responsibilities:
• Provide information on Electronic Funds Transfer and, execute payments to beneficiaries
• Prepare payment advice forms, receive-nontax revenue collections, impress, compile returns and prepare monthly accountability
• Receive, sort, file accountability returns and keep custody of accounting documents
• Prepare vouchers according to payment requested.
• Assign invoice numbers to transactions for further processing.
• Record and capture data on the system.
• Post vote books and subsidiary ledgers.

Job Experience: No Requirements

Work Hours: 8

The Application should be filled and submitted to office of the Director Gulu Regional Referral Hospital, not later than 20th December, 2022.
Note that Health Workers recruited under this project will be appointed on Contracts Terms. These are full time jobs, employees in government service are not allowed to apply. Salaries will be based on Government of Uganda Scale.

• Complete PSF 3 that can be downloaded from www.publicservice.go.ug
• Attach colored passport size photograph on the PSF 3
• Photocopy only the relevant documents and attach on the PSF 3 2.

Relevant Documents include the following:
• Academic and professional certificates (UCE, UACE, Professional Certificates, Diplomas, Degrees, Fellowships).
• Evidence of training in specialized areas where applicable.
• Letters of appointment where applicable.
• Registration certificates and valid practicing licenses for health workers who are required by law to register with relevant Professional Councils.
• National Identity Card.
• An updated CV with contact information for 3 referees.
• Shortlisted applicants will have the opportunity to present additional relevant qualifications.
• Address application to the Hospital Director, Gulu Regional Referral Hospital, P.O. Box 160 Gulu Uganda.

It is emphasized that:
• Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
• Shortlisted candidates shall be required to bring their original certificates, letters of appointment where applicable, three copies of completed PSF 3, Registration Certificates and Valid Practicing Licenses, at the oral interview.
• Candidates who will present forged certificates shall be handed over to the Police for appropriate action.
• Health Workers who are on training must not apply.
