About Us;
This is an international humanitarian and development Non-Governmental Organization in General Consultative status with the (UN COESOC) United Nations Economic and Social Council, and one of the largest in South Korea. Established in 1991, the organization currently conducts missions around the world to improve quality of life and education standards, as well as to provide aid in areas of civil unrest or natural disaster. In order to develop and achieve the NGO objectives, Good Neighbors International Uganda is seeking to recruit the following employee:
Position: Website Communication and Administration Officer.
Number of Positions: (1)
Location: Head Office
The officer will be responsible for support in the planning, and managing of various Communication channels in the Organization.
Responsible to: Country Director & other supervisors.
Duties
Key duties & responsibilities of the officer
Role description
Office Support:
1. Provide financial administration support for GNIUG
2. Support in managing or coordinating of meeting requests and collating information in preparation for meetings.
3. Provide support for arranging national meetings of GNIUG members, including arranging meetings, attendees, and travel requirements where necessary.
4. Events administration, including managing workshops and any organization’s special event.
General Duties
5. Provide support in arranging the materials and information for our continuing professional development
6. Work as part of a small but professional office team.
7. Act on behalf of GNIUG in accordance with its policies and procedures.
8. Undertake any other reasonable duties as may be required
Communication:
1. Effectively communicate internally and externally as approved by the organization using the officially approved communication channels.
2. Prepare suitable reports, briefing notes, presentations, and promotional materials as required.
3. Organize content for the GNIUG newsletter for members, including collating articles and writing content.
4. Help to maintain the GNIUG website and social media channels, including managing changes to members’ information, updating web pages, and arranging and sending social media content.
5. Provide administrative support.
General:
1. To work within the organization’s policy framework, paying particular attention to promoting equal opportunities, a health and safety culture, and good employee relations.
2. Work closely with other members of the organization on shared activities, conferences, events, meetings, mailings, etc.
3. Participate in learning and training where appropriate.
4. Carry out other duties as agreed with the Country Director and Supervisor.

Expertise/competence/skills
1. Excellent customer service skills (face-to-face, by email, and on the phone)
2. Excellent organizational and time management skills
3. Ability to maintain excellent records, including using technology and databases
4. Ability to work across a range of work tasks, managing multiple tasks to deadlines and prioritizing your own workload
5. IT literate to a high standard, including MS Office packages and using other required systems (with training)
6. Excellent attention to detail and numeric skills
7. Evidence of well-developed written skills
8. Ability to implement and follow administrative procedures in a thorough and rigorous manner
9. Good interpersonal skills, including tact and diplomacy
10. Enquiry handling and ability to explain basic procedures
Qualifications (IT / academic)
11. bachelor’s degree in information technology with practical background Specific qualities (for example, attitudes)
12. Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills
13. Commitment to teamwork and supporting others to action organization objectives and continually develop skills in response to changing work demands
14. Proactive and self-motivated individual with excellent organizational and administrative skills
15. Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage your own time
Desirable criteria
16. Experience producing blogs or written content for media and newsletters
17. Experience working in a social development sector (non-government organization) in an administrative capacity
18. Broad understanding of social happenings especially global development trends with possible analytical skills
19. Active commitment to professional development
Terms & Conditions
Full-time (40 working hours per week) and subject to a six-month probationary period.
• Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience in line with Good Neighbors’ Project Staff scale.
• Final Terms and Conditions will be discussed at the contract stage.
