Bedside Nursing and Caretaking services also modifies its home services to better fit the patient’s needs, so that the focus can always be on the greatest benefit to the elderly /client.
This often allows for some flexibility in negotiating services that will be most applicable. for the Elderly who is not in a Critical conditions, Bedside services will use a caretaker but not a medical personnel (Nurse).
For patients who have severe disabilities, terminal conditions, and cognitive impairment, Appropriately Our Nurses takeover the duties from the caretaker, in the same capacity as though the patient were in a hospital setting, although they are still in the comfort of their home. In these cases, expanded services can include:
• The use of all equipment, medical supplies and modalities used in the care homes, including but not limited to catheters hypodermic syringes and needles, irrigation outfits, dressings and pads, etc.;
• Assisting in physical functionality and working with patients for coping.
• Monitoring vitals and regulating drug regimens.
• Coordinating the installation of necessary equipment for treatment.
OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHER PROFESSIONALS.
Bedside understands the importance of working as partners with Health & Social Care Professionals. Providing high quality care requires teamwork and planning, we liaise with all those that have a professional or personal interest and have been permitted by the individual receiving care to be involved. When we are in hospitals as caretakers on behalf of our clients, we DO NOT interfere with the hospital treatment procedures and staff, however we cooperate with them.
