Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park
Today early morning you will be picked from your hotel by our guide from Ecological Uganda and transfer to Bwindi where you will spend the night
Accommodation : Virunga Terraces
Day 2 – Trek the Gorilla in Bwindi forest
This is the highlight of this safari. Following an early breakfast you will transfer to the park headquarters to be briefed by the park warden as well as assigned guides who will lead you on this activity. Dressed in your hiking boots, rain jacket, walking sticks, as well as a packed lunch and drinking water you will hike through the forest looking for the gorillas for a couple of hours. The duration of the trek takes between 2-6 hours based on the gorilla’s movements. Once you find them you will be allowed to spend an hour in their midst taking photos and observing them feed, play and cater for one another; the sheer size of the silverback which can grow up 350 pounds will stun you. Later you will return to your accommodation for dinner and the overnight.
Day 3: Return to Kampala
After breakfast, you will drive back to Kampala having a stopover for lunch along the way. Airport transfers can also be arranged.
