3 DAYS LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK SAFARIS
Our three days’ safari will take you to lake Mburo National Park which is located in western Uganda about 200 kilometres from Kampala and occupies an area of about 260 square kilometres, it takes 4 hours to drive to lake Mburo. Lake Mburo is Uganda’s smallest park and is an interesting park known for its abundance of different wildlife such as the impala, buffalo, zebras and 300 bird species. Zebras are in abundance hence the saying ‘’Home of Zebras’’. The park has a well-developed acacia woodland that harbours over 320 species including; Red-necked spur fowl, African Wattled pover, Flappet Larks Ruppells and many others. Furthermore, you will be able to see Igongo culture centre in Mbarara for cultural experience. You will enjoy horse riding, foot safaris, and game drives in search of these wild species.
DAY 1: JOURNEY TO LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK
We will meet you at your hotel in Kampala and set off for Lake Mburo National Park. We shall have a stopover at the Equator where you can take some photos and have a look at the traditional drums, crafts made by the local people. Thereafter continue with the journey to Lake Mburo National Park.
DAY 2: EXPLORING THE LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK
After taking a morning break you will explore the park with a game drive searching the different wild species such as Impala, Zebras, Topis, Elands, Buffaloes and many others. For birders it is an excellent and beautiful place for viewing the 300 plus bird species like White-winged warbler, Crested Francolin, Fish eagles, Pelicans, Black crake and others. Return to lodge have some relaxation, dinner and night stay.
DAY 3 TRANSFER BACK TO KAMPALA
Early morning after break we can choose either take guided nature walk in the park or game drive. Then after return to Kampala which marks end of the safari
