Are you a licensed nurse or pharmacy technician with a passion to serve patients in pharmacy or drug store space? 

Do come and join our team in serving patients and promoting access to affordable healthcare to our communities. 


Roles and Responsibilities:  

Patient Care: 

  • Provide high-quality pharmaceutical care services to patients in accordance with established  protocols and guidelines. 
  • Conduct patient assessments, including medication history review, allergy screening, and  evaluation of medication effectiveness and adverse effects. 
  • Dispense medications accurately and ensure proper labeling and packaging of medications. 
  • Educate patients on medication use, dosage instructions, potential side effects, and proper  storage. 
  • Monitor patient health status and medication therapy outcomes and collaborate with  healthcare providers to optimize patient care. 


Medication Management: 

  • Monitor medication inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and coordinate medication orders  and deliveries as necessary to ensure adequate stock. 
  • Maintain accurate records of medication dispensing, administration, and inventory  management in accordance with regulatory requirements. 
  • Perform medication reconciliation to identify and resolve discrepancies in medication orders  and patient records. 


ClinicPesa: 

  • Train and teach patients on how to prepare early in time towards their healthcare by creating  clinicPesa accounts and saving towards healthcare. 
  • Receiving payments for healthcare at any Aspin Drug Store using clinicPesa. 
  • Promoting clinicPesa as a payment channel to patients and participating in awareness creation  programs like medical camps, marketing interventions that may be performed at the facility or  in the vicinity of the facility. 


Compliance and Quality Assurance: 

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards governing  pharmacy practice, including but not limited to NDA, FDA regulations, and any other Ugandan  pharmacy laws.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, such as medication error reporting, adverse event  monitoring, and medication safety initiatives. 
  • Conduct regular inspections of pharmacy equipment, storage areas, and medication  compounding facilities to maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety  standards. 


Communication and Collaboration: 

  • Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and other members of  the healthcare team to facilitate coordinated patient care. 
  • Collaborate with pharmacists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and  implement patient care plans, resolve medication-related problems, and optimize medication  therapy outcomes. 
  • Provide timely and accurate documentation of patient care activities, medication interventions, and communications with healthcare team members. 


Professional Development: 

  • Maintain competency and proficiency in pharmacy practice through ongoing education, training, and professional development activities. 
  • Stay informed about advances in pharmacy practice, pharmacotherapy, and healthcare technology,and apply new knowledge and skills to improve patient care. 
  • Participate in continuing education programs, professional conferences, and other learning opportunities to enhance professional growth and development. 
  • Any other tasks as many be deemed necessary. 


Qualifications 

  • Must have a Diploma or bachelor’s degree in medical education or Post Graduate Diploma in Medical  Education). 
  • Must be registered and in possession of a valid practicing License from Uganda Nurses and Midwives  Council. 
  • Should have trained or worked in a pharmaceutical space for at least one year. Must be fluent in English
