Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo
Our drive guide will transfer you to the superb Lake Mburo national park. The drive from Kampala can last about 4 hours of the countryside scenic drive. Reach the park and have your lunch as well preparing for the afternoon boat ride. The boat cruise at Lake Mburo has a lot for you adventure including schools of hippos, Nile crocodile, monitor lizards and several animals can be sighted at the banks of the lake as they draw water and grazing around the lake. Dinner and overnight at Arcadia cottages (midrange).
Day 2: Game drive and Transfer back to Kampala
During game drives you will see plains zebra, one of the largest antelopes in Africa the eland, lots of bushbuck, Defassa waterbuck, topi, common duiker, warthogs and smaller mammals like dwarf mongoose and marsh mongoose. Lake Mburo is the only park with impalas, after an absence of years’ lions can be found again. Leopard and spotted hyena are also residents of the national park. Lots of birds can be found too during a game drive in the park. In the papyrus swamps the mysterious shoebill breeds and the shores of Lake Mburo belong to the best places in Uganda to see the African fin foot.
The game drive can last for about 3 hours and after board for your journey back to Kampala, have a stopover at Kayabwe at the equator to take photos and have your lunch here. The drive straight to Kampala at your preferred hotel.
