About Monitor Online
Monitor Online is the online edition of the Daily Monitor newspaper. Started in 1994, this was one of the first newspaper websites on the African continent. The website reflects the content in the print edition but also provides updates throughout the day.Our drive is to build a true new media brand that combines the intelligence, imagination and style of the Monitor Newspaper, with the immediacy, depth and interactivity of the Internet.
We provide as diverse coverage as is possible. If you don't flow along with the political tide, we still have a careers section that could be the stepping-stone to you getting that elusive job. But if even that won't do for you, then you might just be interested in our most comprehensive sports sub-site- a good deal if you are a sports fanatic. And of course we have chat rooms, opinion polls to ensure the highest level of interactivity.
Monitor Online however is not only interested in informing, educating or entertaining you. We have got amazing business/advertising packages to help you sell your products, services or company image, and, fact, no website in this country is visited by as many people as those visiting Monitor Online. And, you might want to know that a Times of London survey (November, 2000), found www.monitor.co.ug to be among the 100 most visited newspaper sites in the world. Put your money where you customers are!
