SAFARI VEHICLES
The company owns Totoya Land Cruisers and Minibuses. All vehicles are 4WD, are well maintained and provide a pop-up roof for game viewing. For clients’ convenience, we try to limit the number of people in one vehicle to 5-6 persons. This means that every guest can enjoy having a window seat and luggage can be stored comfortably. The challenging condition of the roads means that safari vehicles are serviced by Paradise Adventure Vacations own company mechanics after every trip.
DRIVER/GUIDES & TOUR LEADERS
Aware of the critical role a guide plays in our guests’ holiday experience, we hire only the best. Of our highly experience full time guides, many used to be national parks rangers with Uganda Wildlife Authority and therefore have extensive local knowledge of the flora and fauna, history, culture, geography. Some avid ornithologists complete our pack.
They also attend regular courses with the accrediting local USAGA (Uganda Safari Guides Association), are members of the Uganda Bird Guides Club and Conservation Societies. In addition, we provide German, Spanish and Italian speaking Tour Leader/Guides, as well as accompanying translators in any of the other major international languages upon request. 21 days highlight of Uganda
I can not say enough good things about our tour that we did with Paradise Adventure Vacations. We first made contact with Davillian in the office who was extremely helpful with all our questions and concerns. All questions were answered quickly and efficiently. She gave us ability to customize our tour as we chose. We transferred the money through Bank Transfers which she confirmed quickly.
On to the tour. Our guide was Kiwanuka,We were so lucky to have such a thoughtful, friendly and passionate guide. He loved what he did, and you could tell. From picking us up and having our first coffee together we imediately hit it off. He had great knowledge of everything that we saw and everywhere that we visited. Even after a long day of "African massage" roads he still was willing to search the park for the animals missing from our collection! He was a very safe driver which be put us at ease on the chaos of the roads. Some of the drives were very long but he never complained. Loved hearing all the stories that he told us and sharing photos with each other at night. No ask was too much. Thank you Kiwanuka for such a magical experience!
Our tour was 21 days which included the main parks of Uganda and Gorilla treking. 20 nights was the right amout of time for us. We skipped the chimps as we wanted to get more time doing game drives. We didn't think we would spend that much money but worth taking money for beers 5k - 10k shillings depending on lodge. Soft drinks 2k - 3k. Waterfall hike was $15usd each. Massage 60k We made sure we tipped at each place we went to, as most of the lodges were staffed by the local community. 21 day highlight of East Africa and its nuture!
In December 2017 me and my family made a trip to Uganda. Of course we chose Paradise Adventure Vacations as our tour guide. We had Paradise Adventure Vacations as well on our first trip to Uganda & Tanzania about 3 years ago. I can guarantee you, when I am going to visit Uganda again, I am definietly going with Paradise Adventure Vacations. The guides knows the areas, they know the people and they are very flexible.
