Sol.ACE is a design practice set up in Kampala, Uganda which focuses on Architectural, Interior and product design services.

The studio is led by Batul Tinwala (UPenn, USA; NMIMS University, India)

The firm has been elaborately working on Affordable Housing projects in Kampala. Our idea is to realize dream of a common man to own a house in their lifetimes. The design provides all amenities required for luxury living in affordable settings.

We believe in contrasting ideas. Firstly, our vision is to create contemporary futuristic designs to give a high-tech identity to the cities. We believe its time for us to look beyond the horizon and join hands in transforming the face of the city and emerge into a new metropolis of tomorrow!

Simultaneously, we have also been researching and collaborating with locals to learn more about the traditional houses to relate to the vernacular style of East Africa.

Together we would like to develop contemporary-vernacular designs that are true to the place and have a potential to emerge into a new style altogether. We are very excited and are looking forward on contributing to the development of Uganda and East Africa as a whole.
