How Much is Gorilla Trekking in Africa?

A gorilla trekking permit in Uganda costs $700 for foreigners, and only Ugx.250,000 for Ugandans and East African Residents. This has given many travellers a greater opportunity to trek gorillas in Uganda than in other destinations. Rwanda gorilla trekking permit costs $1,500, which is double the charge in Uganda. Congo gorilla trekking permits cost $400 only, but due to the insecurity in the Eastern Region, many travellers end up in Uganda.
